Medina County Planning Commission
The mission of the Medina County Planning
Commission
is to assist local units of government by
providing land planning guidance and further to create and
administer County Subdivision Regulations that promote sound,
orderly development
benefiting the citizens of Medina County.
History The Medina County Planning Commission was established by the Medina County Commissioners in 1981 to provide planning services to the communities of Medina County. The Commission was preceded by the Tri-County Regional Planning Commission in the 1960's and early 1970's and the Medina County Regional Planning Commission in the 1970's. Under State Law, the Commission is governed by eight citizen members appointed by the Board of County Commissioners to three year terms. Each County Commissioner also is a member. Each member may have an alternate. All members must be residents of Medina County.
